About Kidz "n" Sports®
Kidz "n" Sports® aired the first show on April 24th, 2006 on the internet at www.AdrenalineRadio.com. Since then many guests have joined Coach Mike in telling their stories about the youth sports journey. Whether it's coaches, players, umpires, athletic directors, or vendors - each show is design to help others with information to make their child's journey through youth sports a more enjoyable and beneficial one.
Teach First, Win Later! - Many kids drop out of youth sports by the time they are 14 years old. Why? Sports has so many beneficial life lessons to teach our kids. But they can't learn if they aren't there. Some will leave because they decide sports is not their thing. Some will leave because they discover the opposite sex. But most leave because they just aren't having fun anymore. Sports should be fun. Sure, practice and conditioning is hard work. But if one is growing, getting in better shape, or improving their skill sets there is a certain amount of pride that comes out of achievement. There is plenty of time to be competitive. But I believe that more kids would keep playing sports and become more competitive in their own rite if they were properly coached in basic skills and encouraged to compare themselves to themselve instead to somebody else.
