Coach Mike Davis has been coaching and/or officiating youth sports for over 30 years. His first coaching spot was as an assistant coach of his cousin's little league team in Phoenix AZ. Mike believes that every child should have the opportunity to play a sport and coaches should teach the basic skills at the young ages. It's not enough to just make sure the kids get playing time, each child should learn each position. Teach first, win later is the Kidz "n" Sports mantra.

Mike has taken his positive attitude to the high school level where he brought success to two struggling softball programs, taking each from last place in league to within a game of reaching CIF playoffs.

Mike is in the process of creating the National Youth Sports Association (NYSA), an organization to help communities provide sports programs where the schools are unable to do so. Sports is a valuable educational tool that should not be overlooked. There are lessons children will learn in sports that they probably won't learn in the classroom.

Coach Mike is also an accomplished speaker having spoken to businesses, teachers, and church groups. Mike is a member of Toastmasters Club 9 and an active participant in Founders' District Speaker's Bureau. Mike is an active member and the current President of Downey ProNetworkers.
